What Should I Expect?

When you arrive, we’ll draw your blood, like when you have labs or donate blood. Then you can hang out in our waiting room and enjoy a drink and/or snack while we process your blood to create the PRP, which takes about half an hour. When your PRP is ready, you will return to a procedure room where we will inject the PRP into the desired area. The discomfort of the injection is generally the same or less than other injections you have had in the past.  After the injection, you will likely experience increased pain for a couple of days and some soreness and stiffness for up to two weeks. You will experience approximately 80% of benefit by 6 weeks as your body improves naturally, with maximum improvement noted around 3 months after the procedure.
