What Is Cell Therapy?
The primary type of cell therapy we use is bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC). It is a proven method to treat arthritis and joint pain by harnessing your body’s powerful healing cells, taken from a small sample of your bone marrow.
These concentrated cells are injected directly into the affected joint, helping to reduce inflammation, promote tissue repair, and provide long-lasting pain relief.
What Can I Expect?
During cell therapy, you can expect a straightforward, in-office procedure lasting about 30-45 minutes. We’ll take a small sample of bone marrow, typically from the hip, and concentrate it to harness your body’s natural healing cells. This concentrated solution is then injected into the affected joint.
After the injection, you may feel mild soreness or stiffness, similar to what you’d feel after exercise. This typically fades within a few days. Most patients begin to notice reduced pain and improved joint movement within a few weeks as the healing process takes effect.
